Screen Writing
In the Fall of this year, I took an Introduction to TV Drama course. In this class, I was assigned to work with three other group members to create a spec script for the existing TV show, TNT's The Closer. The script is currently in the final revision stages and will be submitted to the writer's guild by the end of this week. "Seeing Double" is written to take place in the second season of The Closer. Priority Homicide Division investigates the murder of a local L.A. artist, Jack Lebann, who, after a ten year hiatus, is making his return with a new exhibit, inspired by and dedicated to his deceased wife. However, upon discovering the artist's body, PHD also finds his entire new collection destroyed. All of the forensic evidence points to his daughter, but with an airtight alibi, it would be impossible for her to have murdered her father. With the press scrutinizing the squad's performance and personal tensions rising, Brenda must figure out who actually killed Jack Lebann.
